Field Bag Workshop

11am to 4pm with a lunch break

Where: WREN in Bethlehem, New Hampshire

Cost: $150 plus materials

Materials kit $90 ( Leather, solid brass hardware, needles, thread, and embellishments)

This  workshop guides participants through the design and construction of a rugged, hand-sewn leather field bag—an essential companion for time spent outdoors, whether for exploring, harvesting, sketching, or carrying everyday tools. Field bags are traditionally small yet highly functional, designed to carry essential items without becoming cumbersome or restrictive in movement.

Participants will construct a durable, versatile bag sized for everyday carry (EDC) tools and necessities. The finished bag can be worn cross-body or attached to a belt, making it adaptable for a wide range of field uses. Built from medium well-oiled cowhide, the bag offers excellent durability and natural weather resistance, protecting its contents while developing a rich patina over time.
