Leather Repair and Restoration Services
Leather is a resilient and durable material. It can last for generations with proper care. The AdhiZen Studio is now set up for making repairs and restorations for leathers goods. The AdhiZen Studio has always had as its mission statement to create items that can be repaired to prevent the more materials from ending up in Land fills.
You will find below a list of current services and repairs. They will evolve over time to include more options as the equipment and as skills develop.
The movement to repair…
In the world of throw away culture and consumerism we are seeing and finding out the environmental impacts that are affecting the Earth’s health, the diverse land ecologies, rivers, oceans and all it’s beings. The right to repair and fix our purchases needs to be a part of everything we invest in. It is also important to have the local resources or access to these resources if we need to have something repaired.
For consumption/consumerism to be reduced we need to also offer ways for to things to last longer. Mending, repairing, restoring, maintaining etc… are a crucial part of that ecology.
Maintenance Services:
This first step in keeping your leather lasting for years is regular conditioning and cleaning. This service is includes assessment, cleaning, light repairs, waterproofing where needed. Below s a general listing for prices. Sometimes more repair is needed to bring an item back to good shape and that might add to the basic costs.
Boots and Shoes: $12 - $25
Purses and Bags: $15 - $40
Tool belts, strap and Belts: $10 - $35
Knife sheaths and holsters : $10 - $25
Saddles, Bridles and Halters: Priced per item
Mending and Sewing
Things happen. Seams rip, areas get thin, dry leather crackers… These can all be fixed too.
Sewing and mending services are priced per item. Some sewing can be done with my machine but sometimes I have to hand repair a seam or patch an item that is worn.
General pricing runs $15 to $25 per hour… plus any materials

Rebuilding & Complete Reconstruction Services:
There are times when something just is too far gone and the best option is a reconstruction. I will take a pattern of the original, match the color and leather to the best of my ability to source it and recreate a new item for you.
This work requires a non-refundable deposit before any work is done.
This is priced per job plus materials.

If you are going to ship an item to the AdhiZen, you will need to send pictures of the repair/maintenance that needs to be done. You will receive full instructions on how to do that so I can understand the nature of the repair.
Not everything is in my scope of repair skills. I will be up front about my ability to make repairs.
