Magmaversal Intentions

Magmaversal Intentions is a series of drawings that reflect on the primal forces shaping our planet at its very core. The imagery draws inspiration from magma—the molten, mineral-rich substance beneath the earth’s surface that fuels volcanic activity and, ultimately, contributes to the creation of life itself. These works invite viewers to contemplate magma not only as a geological phenomenon, but also as an elemental co-creator in the story of our existence.

The round format of the drawings evokes the vision of volcanic cauldrons, their molten contents shifting, cooling, and crystallizing into intricate geometric patterns. This circular form symbolizes cycles of transformation and regeneration, while visually echoing the deep reservoirs of earth’s interior. As the magma cools, it gives rise to crystalline structures, the foundations of minerals that, when combined with water and other elemental forces, become the essential building blocks for life.

Through layered pigments, textures, and dynamic compositions, these drawings merge abstraction with natural processes. They stand as meditations on the hidden yet ever-present forces beneath our feet, reminding us that creation is not only a cosmic event but also a geological one—continually unfolding within the earth’s fiery depths.
